Android: How notifications work

By default, Chrome will prompt you when a website, app, or extension asks for a notification. However, you can change this setting at any time.

When you browse websites with intrusive or misleading notifications, Chrome automatically blocks notifications and recommends that you keep blocking them.

You won't receive any notifications when browsing the web incognito.

Allow or block notifications for all sites

Open the Chrome app Chrome on your Android phone or tablet.

On the right side of the address bar, tap the More icon More Next "Settings".

Tap [Site Settings] followed by [Notifications].

Turn this setting on or off at the top of the screen.

To allow low-noise notification alerts, tap [Use low-noise notifications (disable sites from showing notifications to avoid distractions)]. If you've ignored notifications for a particular site multiple times, or if other users generally disable a site from delivering notifications, you won't receive notifications from those sites again.

Important: If you allow a site to display notifications, but Chrome marks the site as inappropriate or misleading, it may block those notifications and require the site to obtain your authorization to deliver push notifications. To allow sites to send notifications, please change the relevant settings.
